This is our 3rd year in this pastoral, provincial corner of France which is still for the most part as charming and picturesque now as it came to be known by a number of 'Impressionist' painters at the turn of the 20th century.
Sleepy villages of half-timer, thatched cottages and ancient towns with medieval and renaissance buildings rise and swell in the folds of landscape patched with forests and apple orchards that go on and on until abruptly stopping in the dramatic chalk cliffs at the very edge of the great channel.
