Come Paint in Normandy

| At the turn of the last century the 'Impressionist' painters were leaving Paris and travelling to Normandy - to the beautiful bucolic countryside, to the wonderful light of this fascinating region and to the seaside!
We invite you to travel with us on a special 11 day program to paint this wonderful region with our small group headed up by 'artist - teacher' Henry Vyfvinkel.

Our program consists of 3 nights in Rouen with it's preserved medieval quarter, 3 nights in Honfleur, its ancient houses surrounding the basin at the esturary of the Seine, 3 nights near Mont Saint Michel, and a night in the 'Pays D'auge' with a visit to Chartres. An extension of a few nights can he added in Paris.
Along with sightseeing we will travel each day to a site with the opportunity to paint our own impressions.
We will have the opportunity to paint in Claude Monet's Water Garden at Giverny, the cathedral in Rouen that Monet painted so many times of the day, the awesome 'Needle' at the white, chalk cliffs of Etretat, sailboats in the inner harbour surrounded by ancient colourful houses in Honfleur, and magical Mont Saint Michel just off the coast from St. Malo, Brittany.
