Food and Wine Tour of Umbria and Tuscany October 16 ~ October 28, 1999

Umbria and Tuscany are at the geographic and cultural centre of ltaly. And what a story they have to tell- from the Iron and Bronze Age, through the Etruscan civilization, then the Romans, on into the middle ages, and a shining renaissance. The history of these regions form a magnificent tapestry. A history forged out of feuding dynasties, enlightened by learning and cherished in art. But arguably, the greatest treasure of these regions that has stayed through all the ages comes from her earth – her food and wine!

This tour is limited to a maximum of 16 persons due mostly to the size of the specialty accommodations such as an 18th century villa in Umbria, and a 15th century Villa in Tuscany but also, as in the past, our clients enjoy being part of a 'small' group of likeminded people who enjoy fabulous scenery, wonderful food and wine, and of course good company to enjoy it all in.
